Kin doesn’t reconnect at home after turning off away-from-home access
What happens: If you turn off Access Kin away from home in the app while you’re away, Kin may not reconnect when you’re back on your home Wi‑Fi.
What to do: Close the Kin app completely and open it again. If it still won’t connect, turn away-from-home access back on from your Mac in Settings → Privacy → Away-from-home access.
Status: A fix is planned for an upcoming update.
Kin Server doesn’t warn you when a Mac can’t run it well
What happens: Kin Server installs on Macs with less than 16 GB of memory or older than macOS 14 Sonoma, but it can’t run its model well there, or at all on older versions of macOS.
What to do: Check What does Kin need to run? before installing.
Status: Setup will check this for you in an upcoming update.
